Runway Rules & Race Day Bus Info

RUNWAY RULES — PLEASE READ! 

We’re excited to welcome you to the runway! To keep things safe, smooth, and enjoyable for every runner, here are a few important guidelines before you take off:

1. ID Required for Bib Pickup Please bring a government-issued photo ID to collect your bib. We’ll take a quick verification photo (it will be deleted by noon). No ID means no bib, and no bib means no race. Thanks for helping us keep things secure and organized!

2. Keep the Runway Clean & Clear The runway must remain completely clear at all times. Please keep all personal items with you, including: wrappers, bottles, gel tabs, clothing, hair ties, bananas and anything else you bring along. Waste stations will be available off the runaway, and we appreciate your help in keeping the Runway spotless.

3. Spectator Viewing Area We love your cheering squads! Spectators are welcome to gather at the designated area outside the gate near Union East. They can cheer you on from there while we maintain the necessary runway clearance.

4. No Photos on the Runway During the Race For safety reasons, photos aren’t permitted once the race begins on the runway. Corrals are inside and start line is an option. Gunstart -Stay focused and keep moving, there will be plenty of great photo opportunities!

YOUR RIDE TO GLORY 

Race morning is coming fast, and whether you’re rolling out of bed at Sinbads, sipping coffee at The Albatross, or cruising in from elsewhere, we’ve got your transportation covered. Here’s the low-down on how you and your pre-race jitters will get to the start line.

START LINE: WHERE THE MAGIC BEGINS

Staying at Sinbads (view on race map) or The Albatross (view on race map) ? You’re living the VIP life. A race-day bus will swing by your hotel and take you straight to the start line. No parking stress, no guesswork, just hop on and ride the hype wave.

Staying somewhere else? Easy. Park at the Steel Community Centre (view on race map), where buses will be loading and heading to the start line. Think of it as your first warm-up… but with comfy seats and zero sweating.

FINISH LINE: YOUR VICTORY CHARIOT AWAITS

After you cross that finish line on the soccer field with the grace of a gazelle and the determination of a Newfoundlander in a snowstorm, buses will be ready to take you back to:

• Sinbads

• The Albatross

• Steel Community Centre

Follow the signs, follow the volunteers, or follow the gravitational pull of your medal and snacks.

NOTE - There will not be return busses from the Airport.

BUS TICKETS: YOUR GOLDEN PASS

If you signed up for bussing, you’ll receive a bus ticket during kit pickup. 

This ticket is your official boarding pass.

Please tuck it somewhere safe — pocket, armband, hydration vest, lucky sock, wherever your runner brain won’t forget it.
